It bears repeating yet once again: BAU (Business As Usual) is not my enemy; BAUAAE (Business As Usual And Above All Else) is my enemy.

It will be a considerable challenge to apply 3 E analysis (Ecology - Economy - Equity) to the mitigation of anthropogenic forcing of climate change. Hopefully, not only is it possible, it will be doable in the very near future.

We have little time remaining. Some have observed that already it is too late while others, like Hansen, believe it just might be possible to reduce the worse effects. Delay by way of further analysis no longer seems an option. Valid, reliable, scientific analysis while effecting "wedges" is absolutely critical.

I am very happy to see this topic addressed in series form by a responsible journalist. Over the holidays I had the opportunity to briefly discuss climate change with my father, who gets all of his news from The Wall Street Journal, The San Diego Tribune and FoxNews.

He believes that humans are contributing very little to climate change and that if we were to switch to an economy based on renewable energy we would plunge the world into an economic disaster.

I hope that most people do not think as my father does, but, I fear that we live in a society in which people are generally too lazy to investigate issues. It seems that the majority rely on television "news" and even what their pastors tell them.

Most people seem unaware that The Wall Street Journal and all other mainstream media are owned by corporations that have their own agendas based on their stock holdings. And, if they are aware, they aren't bothered by it. Capitalism is the enemy of all that I hold sacred. And, I believe that if people examined what they hold dear, i.e., clean air, clean water, pristine land, bountiful wildlife and fertile soil, they would come to the conclusion that we need to change our economic system.

I'll send the link to this story to my dad in the hopes that he will read this series and click on the Web links you've inserted.

Al Gore has really stepped in it this time. He could have spent the rest of his global warming career collecting money by spreading fear over events that were a centure or at least half century in the future. Oh, but that wasn't good enough for Big Al. He's now told the biggest global warming whopper of his alarmist career:

AL GORE HAS GUARANTEED THAT THE NORTHERN POLAR ICE CAP WILL BE COMPLETELY GONE IN FIVE YEARS!!!

When I heard this I assumed it was a rumor started by skeptics to make Gore look bad. It wasn't until I viewed the video that I realized what Gore had done. Gore has started a five year credibility countdown timer ticking and it's up to all of us to make sure that he is held accountable and proven to be a fraud when his dire prediction aimed at drumming up support doesn't come close to comming true.

The mainstream media isn't going to let this video see the light of day because they, unlike Al, understand the precarious position in which he has placed himself.

It is therefore up to us to spread the word about Big Al's prediction. He must be exposed for the fearmongering opportunist that he has become.

To view the video, please visit the following site and click on the picture of Big Al holding up five fingers.

While visiting this site, you might want to watch a preview of the film "Not Evil, Just wrong" or watch "The Great Global Warming Swindle" which is found in the video section. Happy Viewing!!!
